IDF 5K Run/Walk
Following the success of the Cape Town edition in 2006, the 20th World Diabetes Congress, Montreal, 18-22 October 2009, will again host the IDF 5K Run/Walk. The event will take place on Thursday 22 October 2009, at 06.30.
The IDF 5K Run/Walk emphasizes the need for increased physical activity to help prevent diabetes and diabetes complications. The IDF 5K Run/Walk will be a main attraction at the 20th World Diabetes Congress and the only event that will take congress participants out into the streets of Montreal.
Participation is free for all participants of the 20th World Diabetes Congress as well as for the general public.
There will be no restriction to the number of people participating in the race, but all participants will have to register in order to be allowed to take part in the IDF 5K Run/Walk.
